What the data says about Greater London
Modelled yield is not flat across Greater London. Kingston comes out at 987 kWh per kWp a year against 847 at Sutton, a spread of 140 kWh per kWp. On a 200 kWp farm array that difference is about 28,000 kWh a year, which is worth checking before accepting a generic saving figure.
The planning record lists no solar schemes for the districts we cover in Greater London. On agricultural land that usually reflects the reporting threshold rather than an absence of arrays, because roof mounted schemes on farm buildings seldom appear in it.
