Farm solar panels across Cornwall
We survey farm and agricultural building roofs throughout Cornwall, model what each one can carry, and arrange the design, the grid application and the install through our MCS-certified partner.

What the data says about Cornwall
Modelled yield is not flat across Cornwall. Penzance comes out at 979 kWh per kWp a year against 921 at Camborne, a spread of 58 kWh per kWp. On a 200 kWp farm array that difference is about 11,600 kWh a year, which is worth checking before accepting a generic saving figure.
Across the districts we cover in Cornwall the planning record lists 11 ground mounted and 10 roof mounted solar schemes. Ground mounted schemes tell you how the network here has treated field arrays; roof mounted ones are undercounted, because an array on a farm building rarely passes the reporting threshold. Connections across the county run through National Grid Electricity Distribution. Anything above 3.68 kW per phase needs a G99 application, and on rural feeders the incoming supply is often the real limit: a single phase supply caps the array whatever the roof would carry.
