Farm solar panels across Lancashire
We survey farm and agricultural building roofs throughout Lancashire, model what each one can carry, and arrange the design, the grid application and the install through our MCS-certified partner.

What the data says about Lancashire
Modelled yield is not flat across Lancashire. Blackpool comes out at 888 kWh per kWp a year against 774 at Burnley, a spread of 114 kWh per kWp. On a 200 kWp farm array that difference is about 22,800 kWh a year, which is worth checking before accepting a generic saving figure.
Across the districts we cover in Lancashire the planning record lists 10 ground mounted and 13 roof mounted solar schemes. Ground mounted schemes tell you how the network here has treated field arrays; roof mounted ones are undercounted, because an array on a farm building rarely passes the reporting threshold. Connections across the county run through Electricity North West. Anything above 3.68 kW per phase needs a G99 application, and on rural feeders the incoming supply is often the real limit: a single phase supply caps the array whatever the roof would carry.

- Blackburn 782 kWh/kWp
- Preston 805 kWh/kWp
- Burnley 774 kWh/kWp
- Lancaster 797 kWh/kWp
